Wing Chun Kung Fu (Chinese)

This is a unique martial art for many reasons. It was developed around 300 years ago by a master of the shaolin kung fu temple and was designed to supersede existing systems of martial arts. Wing Chun can be practised as an external (physical) or internal (relaxed body using mind/chi power) martial art. Practised externally a student can become proficient at self defence in a relatively short space of time. Practised internally Wing Chun is a fascinating journey and its true power is revealed. The internal method however takes longer to develop self defence skills and requires considerable commitment.

Wing Chun has been nicknamed lightning fist kung fu due to its devastating speed and power. The reason for this has been well demonstrated by one of the most famous students of Wing Chun - the late Bruce Lee. Recently Wing Chun Kung Fu was ranked number one as the world’s most deadliest weapon.

Wing Chun is also the only martial art ever invented by a female. It has been said that this is the only system where a smaller person can develop the ability to truly master a larger stronger person as the skills learned will succeed over physical strength.

Wing Chun is not and never has been a sport. It was designed to enable the average person to succeed in true combat. For this reason Wing Chun is currently taught to many law enforcement agencies around the world today.
