Instructor Kyle McWilliams Visits Master Palumbo’s Adelaide School
Instructor Kyle visited Master Vince Palumbo at his school in Adelaide for a week during May 2007. Each morning, Master Vince helped Kyle to improve his skill and understanding in the art of Doce Pares. At night, Kyle focused on the combative aspects of Doce Pares by participating with Master Palumbo and his students in Pangamot (Combat Jujitsu), Cacoy Doce Pares Eskrima, and Stick Fighting Sparring classes.
Master Vince also informed Kyle of the updated ring rules and regulations for the 4th Cacoy Doce Pares World Federation Stick Fighting Championships which will be held in Jakarta at the beginning of September 2007. As this will be the first time a New Zealand team will be participating, this knowledge has helped the team’s preparation immensely.
Kyle’s training with Master Vince was invaluable for his ongoing personal development in both the art and the combative aspect of Doce Pares. Since returning, Kyle has enjoyed sharing this knowledge with fellow Doce Pares students.
