NZ Wing Chun Kung Fu and NZ Doce Pares Eskrima located centrally in Addington, Christchurch provides you with the opportunity to learn high quality skills for a range of combat and self defense, including -

  • punch and kick
  • internal (chi) training
  • weaponary (blunt and bladed)
  • ground fighting
  • sport stick fighting (national inter-club & international tournaments)

You can learn both Doce Pares Eskrima and Wing Chun at our Wing Chun club.

Wing Chun Club Training

We teach relevant and meaningful skill development training to people regardless of fitness level, ability or injury. Our Wing Chun club teaches self defence suitable for those new to martial arts through to experienced martial artists looking to expand their proficiency and knowledge. It is ideal for people who may not be able to practice their usual martial art or sport due to injury or age. With Wing Chun you can develop external & internal skills that will aid rehabilitation and allow you to remain active without fear of re-injury. Being the only martial art invented by a woman Wing Chun does not rely purely on physical strength to overcome an opponent. Regardless of your size or gender Wing Chun practiced externally and internally will enable you to develop powerful force over time.

Doce Pares Eskrima Club Training

Doce Pares Eskrima develops a range of skills, specifically stick and knife fighting that include weapons versus weapons, empty hand versus weapons as well as general fighting skills, Pangamot (Ju Jitsu, Judo and grappling).

We are committed to teaching authentic, traditional martial arts within a modern day environment. Our Wing Chun Kung Fu and Doce Pares Instructors are internationally trained and teach skills as they have been taught to generations via a direct lineage that can be traced back to the beginning of both martial arts. We are proud to offer a friendly, relaxed, non-aggressive atmosphere where you can learn Wing Chun and Doce Pares Eskrima at your own pace.
